Eli's Baptism

The Saturday morning before Mother's day, Eli became a Christian! The whole day turned out perfectly, it really was remarkable. Eli was an angel throughout the whole ceremony, though his patients had worn by the time we tried to take photos afterwards. We had almost 30 people over to our house afterwards to celebrate. Yes, you heard it, 30 guests in our little place! It was awesome, and only possible with the nice weather that let the kids play outside. It was truly a blessed day, and one that I will always treasure. :D

Eli wore the Hughitt family gown. It was first word by my Aunt Terri, and by my father.

A group photo with god-parents and parents that shows off the beautiful church. Jared, Jason's brother, and Andrea, my second cousin, are Eli's Godparents.

Jason's grandma made the trip from Houston, the furthest traveler! It was such an honor to have her with us for this and for mother's day!

A group photo of the Garza men and the woman who made it all possible. :)

I love this picture!

Eli is going to learn a lot from Jared, his god-father. First lesson: fire!

The proud papa with a tired little boy.

It was a really nice ceremony, more personal as we all were able to gather around the font.

It meant so much to us to have so many of our relatives make the trip to be with us.

Katie and Joe love the Boston baked beans!! :)

Jacob, Joshua, Katie, and Joe had a fun picnic in the front yard.

A new house record! We fed 28 people that morning with a lot of help from my mom, Aunt Carol, and Jason's mom.
